LYNN HILARY

The Road of Passage

Lynn Hilary joined ANÚNA in 1999, travelling with the ensemble to the United States and around much of Europe. In her time with the group she sang on BBC Songs Of Praise and performed live at the BBC Proms in the Park in Belfast to an audience of 14,000 in both cases singing solo.

She was a soloist with Celtic Woman and Riverdance and features on several albums by both world-renowned shows. Last year Lynn performed at “The Way of The Rain”, a show of art and music for environmental awareness, conceptualised and featuring Robert and Sibylle Redford. Currently she is busy as a singer/songwriter/arranger/producer and founding member of the vocal trio CaraNua with whom she has performed on and co-written two soundtracks for the brand new immersive theme park Evermore.

She recorded with ANÚNA for the soundtrack of Diablo 3 also taking a solo role. Lynn features as a soloist on many of the group’s studio albums, most recently on “Revelation” (2015).

“My years with ANÚNA were formative, extremely enjoyable and memorable. I had always been a fan since I first saw them perform at the National Concert Hall in Dublin, and subsequently collected all of their CDs which I played on an almost constant repeat!

To be part of this group, and also a fan of it, was an interesting experience and the phrase “never a dull moment” rings especially true here.

Close harmony was always a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, with my favourite bands being The Carpenters and The Beach Boys, so singing with ANÚNA was the perfect way to explore this passion even further, and has allowed me to connect with this musical form in a real way.”
