I am Pétur Oddbergur Heimisson. I come from the beautiful Island, Iceland, a country with a culture and landscape which is very similar to Ireland. I am a classical singer and I have a degree in Cultural Management. Culture and music is very important to me so I am very happy to have the chance to be able to focus on producing shows and performing. I met Michael McGlynn in Utrecht, the Netherlands, where I lived and studied, after a Christmas Concert by Anúna in Utrecht's Music Hall, Tivoli Vredenburg a few years ago.

The ensemble I am also singing with, Olga Vocal Ensemble, had recently recorded and released one of Michael's songs, Dúlaman. We contacted Michael, we came to the show and had a talk with him and the members of Anúna and it was the beginning of a great connection between Olga, Michael McGlynn and the Anúna gang. 3 of the Olga's, Phil, Bjarni and I have all sung Anúna and we are also members of M'ANAM.

I am extremely honoured and proud to be part of this family of great people and amazing singers. The photo connected to my profile is taken by an Irish photographer, Juliette Rowland, living in Iceland.
