What types of cookies do we use?

Through the Squarespace platform the site sets cookies in the categories of security and performance.

Security - the Squarespace platform sets a cookie to prevent a particular type of security attack known as Cross Site Request Forgery (CSRF). CSRF is an attack vector that tricks a browser into taking unwanted action in an application when someone’s logged in.

Performance - ANÚNA Teoranta also uses the Squarespace platform tools to collect information about how people interact with the site. In this context we set cookies to do the following:

  • identify unique visitors

  • track a user's session on the site

  • identify the source of the traffic

These analytics are considered "first-party" analytics. We do not share information with third parties and we cannot identify you personally.

We do not use third party cookies. We do not use cookies for advertising or any site-functionality such as logins or personalization.

More information about the Squarespace platform cookies we use can be found at https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001264507-About-the-cookies-Squarespace-uses.

How can I opt out?

When you visit the site for the first time, cookies will only be set once you click 'Accept Cookies' on the cookie banner that appears at the top or bottom of the screen. You are not obliged to accept cookies and none will be set until you do. You can opt out by not clicking 'Accept Cookies'. The site functionality is the same whether you accept cookies or not.
